Abstrakt
By the end of 2020, the benefits of heat pump solutions were fully acknowledged in the European Union and beyond. It is clear, that the use of renewable energy in a most efficient way results in the necessary CO2 savings that are essential for a decarbonised heating and cooling sector and societies as a whole. The war waged by Russia on Ukraine has accelerate the demand for heat pumps, as many end consumers have realised, that trusting in fossil gas for heating, is not a bridge to a sustainable future, but a burden. The European Commission has published its REPowerEU package mid 2022 and this will lead to the near to complete conversion of the heating sector - the future is heat pumps.
