Abstrakt
The use of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) as refrigerants in air-conditioning and refrigeration systems is being reexamined globally due to their high global warming potential (GWP) and large environmental load. Recently, we have developed novel blends of refrigerants, mainly trans-1,2-difluoroethylene (R-1132(E)), which have extremely low GWPs. We discuss the performance of the R-1132(E) blends and the stability of the new substance, R-1132(E).
